The Professor was born on the 8th March 1957 into the family of Opeoluwa Osinbajo at Creek Hospital, Lagos.

Dolapo (née Soyode) Osinbajo is the wife of Yemi Osinbajo. She is a granddaughter of the great Obafemi Awolowo and they have three children together.
Osinbajo attended Corona primary School in Lagos and then proceeded to Igbobi College Yaba, Lagos from 1969 to 1975.
He studied Law at the University of Lagos for his undergraduate degree and was awarded an LLB Law degree. He also was at the Nigerian Law School between 1979 to 1980. He later bagged Master of Laws at the London School of Economics.
Between 1979 to 1980, the VP served the compulsory one-year youth service as a legal officer with the Bendel Development and Planning Authority (BDPA), (the defunct Bendel state.)
Osinbajo was employed as a law lecturer at the University of Lagos. The interesting thing is that he started his lecturing job at the age of 25.
And between 1999 to 2007, Osinbajo served as a member of Lagos State Cabinet under the Ministry of Justice as Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice.
